Wedding Violinists for hire in Norwich
Latest reviews of our Wedding Violinists in Norwich

"Samantha stepped in for us last minute due to another musician letting us down. Via Encore Bookings, we spoke with Samantha and kindly she accepted to be our wedding violinist with only a few weeks’ notice. Samantha was fantastic with communication and learnt all our modern songs quickly as well as playing classical from her repertoire. Having previously played at the venue before (a regular at Thursford Christmas spectacular) my mind was put at rest requiring the quality of the performance along with videos on the website. Samantha even asked us what attire would be appropriate. Samantha played beautifully, using acoustic violin and using her own PA system for backing (PAT tested of course). We are so happy we found the talented Samantha who really added a level of class to our ceremony. "

What kind of music can a violinist play?
Pretty much anything! Violinists will usually be most comfortable playing classical music, but that doesn't mean they won't be able whip up fresh renditions of your favourite pop, folk, or jazz tunes. Best to check first before asking them to play krautrock though.
Will I need to provide the violinist with any equipment?
Other than a seat for breaks, probably not. If your venue is small, they will likely play unamplified. All they'll need to make the music happen is their violin, a bow, and a receptive audience (oh, and probably a music stand). If your venue is larger, they should be able to provide amplification.
Do violinists normally play with backing tracks?
It depends. If you only want the violinist’s performance to include classical pieces, they probably won’t need backing tracks. If the violinist’s performance includes pop songs or other styles, they may be able to provide backing tracks to fill out their performance. They’ll often perform the melody line of popular tunes, alongside pre-prepared backing tracks (think: ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, or ‘Skyfall’ by Adele - these songs sound great played on violin!).
