"My partner and I knew we wanted live music at our wedding party but didn’t personally know of any musicians who would be able to help. Having searched for a band online, we came across The Rival Kings, a four piece whose repertoire matched our taste of classic rock and party music. We made an enquiry which Russell, a member of the band, answered promptly, and our decision was made……. What a great decision that turned out to be! In the lead up to the party, Russell was in touch to establish and plan for any of our requirements, and he liaised directly with the venue, making everything hassle free for me. On the evening of the party we arrived at the venue to find the band had already completed set up and sound check, and were on hand should we have needed them at any time before the pre agreed set times. Once the band started playing, the dance floor remained full all evening. They knew what the crowd wanted and absolutely delivered. A perfect blend of genres across the ages. The band played 3 x 45 min sets and even played a playlist through their PA system during their breaks. I would 100% recommend The Rival Kings to anybody looking for live music, and I would certainly book them again should I arrange another big party. Dean Leow "

Can any party band play my favourite song?
Professional party bands will often take requests, but you will need to give them plenty of notice. Please also keep in mind that party bands may ask for an small additional fee to prepare songs that aren't already on their song list. You can view the party band's song list on their Encore profile.
How much time do party bands take to set up?
Your party band will usually arrive about an hour or so before their performance begins to set up and get settled before they start playing. To avoid any delays, make sure the performance space is ready for the party band prior to their arrival.
My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our party bands are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to £10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our party bands will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
