"The Somerset Singers sang at my mother's funeral in a small country church in Dorset. They are not only a very talented choir but also a delight to deal with. They were conscientious, practised with the organist beforehand, sang beautifully and made the service a wonderful tribute. I cannot recommend them highly enough."

"The Carol Singers were just incredible. The guests were greeted at Queen’s Club by the most beautiful operatic voices singing festive Carols. The quartet were immaculately presented and looked so glamorous and Christmassy. The singers were friendly and adaptable to the few last minute event changes. The singing was just superb and I loved them saying goodbye to the guests, wishing them a Merry Christmas and singing a final rendition of We Wish you a Merry Christmas. They all brought style and elegance to the evening - well done!"

"Quite exceptional, the Somerset Singers really added an extra something to my Mothers memorial service, they helped the congregation along (even 150 people can mumble) and their singing of Jesu Joy was fantastic. Perhaps as importantly Aggie made the administration of talking to organist and church really easy, a kindness it’s easy to underestimate in what is always a busy and emotional time. I cannot recommend them enough, thank you thank you "

This can include: For Men and Women: Colourful and coordinated outfits, often with a cultural or expressive flair. This may include casual or semi-formal wear.
Do choirs take song requests?
Not all choirs take song requests, but some do. Some choirs have a set repertoire of songs that they perform, while others are more open to requests. The choir will need time to arrange and rehearse the song so it's best to make sure you send any requests in advance. There may also be a small fee for the rehearsal time.
Do choirs only sing hymns?
No, not all! Choirs perform a wide variety of music, from traditional folk songs to classical compositions. Here are some of the most common types of music that choirs perform: - Classical music: This includes choral works from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, and modern periods. Some famous examples of classical choral music include Handel's "Hallelujah" chorus, Mozart's "Requiem," and Verdi's "Va, pensiero." - Popular music: This includes songs from a variety of genres, such as pop, rock, and Broadway. Popular choirs often perform songs that are currently popular or that have been covered by other artists. - A cappella music: This is music that is performed without instrumental accompaniment. A cappella choirs often perform traditional folk songs, spirituals, and jazz arrangements. - Church music: This includes hymns, anthems, and motets.
