"Oh my goodness!!!! What an incredible band! We hired these guys for our wedding last week and they exceeded all expectations! We just had a blast with them! We had previously gone to watch them in the tea bar in Basingstoke and they just welcomed us into their circle straight away. We sat and chatted and knew then they were right for us, over the last few months we have had several chats and conversations about how our wedding day was going to run and between us came up with a great plan of a mix of acoustic sounds and then moving onto to the more ‘rocky’ music as the day went on. We have had non stop compliments about the band since the day! Honestly I cannot recommend them enough! A perfectly personalised set list, awesome party energy, the band were all amazing and Hollys vocals are incredible!! The show traps don’t do them justice!! Holly and the band were very supportive and super easy to deal with and they went above and beyond in supporting our DJ with loan of equipment and set up after they had finished their set. What is a party band?
A party band is a live musical group specifically designed to entertain and energise audiences at social events and parties. How much space does a party band need?
A minimum of 5 x 3 metres would be required for a six-piece band. Remember that a live party band will have to fit the PA, monitors, lighting, guitar amps, drums, and keyboards in addition to the people.
How long will the party band play for?
Generally, professional party bands perform two 1-hour sets or three 40-minute sets, with a 15- to 30-minute break in between. Your band will also require around one hour for setup and soundcheck.
How far in advance should I book?
The best time to book is as soon as possible, especially if you have special musical requests, but Encore handles last-minute bookings all the time and can easily find a function band if you need one quickly.
Do I have to pay for my band's travel?
Hiring a band for a party with Encore is easy since all fees (travel, VAT, and other expenses) are included in the quote. Besides the Basic Protection package (full refund in the unlikely event that a musician cancels), Encore Cover is the only additional add-on fee we offer. As well as your basic protection (full refund in the unlikely event of a musician cancellation), you'll get tailored replacement searches, out-of-hours support, and if the replacement act costs more than the original musician booked, we'll pay for it. As such, you can have complete peace of mind you will have the perfect entertainment for your event. We always recommend considering local bands first because fees will be lower the closer they are to your chosen venue.
Does my party band need insurance?
The venue might require that your band has PLI (Public Liability Insurance). Your PLI protects another person's or their property from damage during your event. All of Encore's party bands with PLI will have a badge on their profile, so it's easy to find and book them.
