RE-RELEASE is a wedding and party band located in Bristol and is available to perform at various events across the South West and the Midlands. Our musical lineup consists of lead vocals, lead guitar, bass guitar, keyboards and drums with backline vocal harmonies. We can add a sax player if required. and can provide a solo pianist to play classical, jazz or modern ballads at your ceremony, wedding breakfast or reception. We go the extra mile to create that wow factor for you so that your special occasion is memorable. We sound authentic to the original artist. We recognise that every audience is likely to be different and has specific requirements. With this in mind, we have put together a repertoire of hits from the ‘60s right up to the present day, to guarantee a great night's entertainment for every audience, every age group, and every occasion.  So, if you like rock and pop or prefer funk, disco and Motown we will be happy to match your specific requirements to our repertoire of songs. We pride ourselves on providing professional service to you and your guests. Getting the basics right is an important first step in delivering a special performance - we will always turn up to your event on time, be courteous to you and your guests and work hard to make your special occasion a really memorable event. We will agree on our dress code with you in advance as part of pre-booking discussions – so whether it’s a black-tie or a more casual event you can be sure that we will blend in. Listening to a live band is all about what you hear and what you see. You can be confident that we provide both - a full lights show to support our musical performance and entertaining rapport with the audience so that everyone has a great time. With advance notice and for additional fee we would be happy to rehearse that special slow number for the bride and groom’s first dance, or that special song for those celebrating an anniversary or birthday. In addition to providing top-class live music, we also provide an unmanned disco to cover intervals. A full DJ service can be provided, as part of the booking process. We would help to connect you to appropriate DJ services in Encore. This would carry additional costs for the DJ.

From the moment we booked Re-release we felt at ease because the communication was fantastic. We had to choose 32 songs from the vast catalogue which is more difficult than you think but the 32 songs selected were performed excellently. All our guests have commented to us "what a fantastic band " and " boy they can play well". We wouldn't hesitate to book them again. Fantastic night , thanks guys and all the best for the future.

Thank you so much for playing last Saturday - you guys were absolutely brilliant and we couldn’t have asked for more. Music was probably the most important thing for us so we are so happy we booked you. We booked Boogie Society (allocated name from Agency) because of their broad repertoire and they did not disappoint! They were absolutely amazing on the night and our guests loved them. They were also flexible with a last minute song request to finish off the night. They were very easy to deal with and we trusted them to bring a great party.

Re-Release played at my 60th birthday just the other evening and I’m still trying to recover from dancing all night long 😂🤣😂 They were absolutely amazing & I would thoroughly recommend them. All of my guests were complimentary towards them too. What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our clients love the range of music we play and the authentic sounds we create for each song. In addition to superb musicianship, we have great singing voices which really helps with authenticity. Above all else, they love us because we create a brilliant party atmosphere and get everyone singing and dancing,

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Loads of different venues where we have entertained lots of different clients. Some of the more unusual venues have been Weston Super Mare ballroom which is at the end of the pier and Oxford Botanical Gardens where we played in a marquee in the beautiful gardens.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We have really eclectic tastes - pop, rock, indie. motown, We love artists like Queen, The Killers, and Stereophonics to name but a few. There are so many influences on our music and that's we love playing so many different music genres for you.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

All our gigs are high profile - irrespective of the size of the venue and crowd we always put on a show which is memorable and appropriate for the audience. We have played to audiences of a couple of thousand people at big corporate events.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable due to holidays or work commitments. As a semi professional band, our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard lineup consists of lead vocals, lead guitar, bass guitar, keyboards and drums. We sing three-part harmonies when required in each song. Additional services include: A. Solo piano player for wedding ceremonies, wedding breakfast and other reception events B. Solo Saxophone player jamming to DJ tracks C. Sax player added to band (6 piece)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly during the event run-up, just let us know. We reserve the right to negotiate a revised fee if we deem the changes to be material.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer an unmanned disco service for free! We would be happy for you to put your own play list together on your smart phone and we can play this through our PA or you can use our pre set up MP3 sets. If you would prefer a DJ then we can help put you in touch with Encore to organise this.

How much time do you need to set up?

We need 90 minutes before the performance time for set up and sound check. As soon as our PA is set up (normally 60 minutes) we can start to play the unmanned disco to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes you can pick your favourite songs but we will put these in an appropriate playing order. Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system are included in our quote. We can also provide a microphone so you can make speeches. Please note that we will need a playing area of at least 3m x 2m. The playing area needs to be flat and dry (should it rain) and we will need power from at least 4 separate sockets to prevent any power overload. We provide extension leads.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes we can. If you require us to learn a special song which is NOT in our playlist (this needs to be compatible for a female vocalist), there is an additional charge for studio and rehearsal time. See Add ons in price guide. As an alternative we could play a first dance request on the unmanned disco at no extra charge.
