Nouvelle Jukebox is an Edinburgh-based quartet who specialise in swing versions of pop classics. Their set includes the likes of Britney Spears, Kate Bush, Queen, Radiohead, Soundgarden, the Talking Heads, the White Stripes, George Michael, the Kinks, Bill Withers, Soft Cell, and the Velvet Underground --among others-- as well as swing classics from the 1920's & 1930's. The band is: Shannagh Halewood (vocs), Phil Hopwood (guitar), Chazzy "Chazzy P" Pulcino (bass), and "Dr." Dirk Ronneburg (violin). Some of your favourite radio hits with a touch of swingy class! Great band - we got lots of compliments on the day from our guests! Fantastic energy, did a specific song for our first dance which was much appreciated. Hassle free. Would highly recommend!

We took a chance booking Nouvelle Jukebox having never seen them play. However they hit the ground running and the room was soon filled with happy dancing people. The musicianship was also excellent and the band were very easy to work with from the moment they arrived. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try to be flexible in the event of slight changes to the timings of the performance. If timings need to be changed, just get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, absolutely!

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually estimate about 1 hour for set up. As soon as the PA is set up we can provide a playlist to help set the vibe for your guests.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, unfortunately we are not able to roam.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are the result of many performances and reflect songs that land well with the majority of audiences. If there are certain songs you definitely want included, be sure to let us know.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

PA and lighting systems are included in the quote. Act Requirements: 3m x 3m floorspace or stage, mains power supply and sockets, somewhere secure to leave their belongings, refreshments during their breaks (food and drink)

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our set list we may still already know it. If there is a special song you would like us to learn we are happy to entertain the notion (though not all songs fit well into our instrumentation). There is a fee of £80 for this service to take into account additional rehearsal times, etc.
