Which artists have you been most influenced by?

So many to mention, it won't fit in this character-limited answer box! So much of dance music originated from Black, Global Majority and Queer communities, as an expression of radical resistance, hope and belonging. Every DJ set I play is deeply influenced by musicians and DJs who form part of these communities.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Accepted Answer

Timings can shift for up to 30 minutes on the event day without prior agreement. Anything more needs to be agreed with LEXX prior to the event, or paid for in addition to the initially agreed fee.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can provide a playlist as long as you have the cable required to connect an iPhone to your PA system.

How much time do you need to set up?

Your PA system and any DJ gear you provide must be set up and ready to go. For weddings and corporate events, I like to arrive at the venue 30-60 minutes before my DJ set begins to meet my client or their team, feel into the audience's energy, and set up comfortably with contingency time. For clubs/bars, I like to arrive 15-20 minutes before my set begins.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

For weddings and corporate 2 hours DJ sets, you can email me a list of up to 20 song requests, up to 3 days before the event date. For 1 hour DJ sets, you can email me a list of up to 10 requests. Please include the artist name, track name, and any additional details (remix, edit, etc).

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I will need you to provide and set up a professional PA system + 2 x CDJs 2000NXS2 or up + a Pioneer 900NXS mixer + a DJ table at adequate height. Alternatively to CDJs, XDJ XZ or equivalent. If you can't provide CDJs or XDJs, you can request that I bring my own controller. I will need details about your PA system and channel mixer to bring the right cables.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I can download tracks you request up to 3 days before the event. I may also be able to play requests during the event if I have the track in my library already.
