I'm a flute player, teacher and researcher based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. I studied music at Edinburgh Napier University, performing with the University Wind Band, the Tomlin Consort flute quartet, and the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra, as well as in pit bands for shows. Since moving to Sheffield, I've played with Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra, Endcliffe Orchestra, various small ensembles, pit bands and for recording sessions, playing flute, piccolo and alto flute. I'm a member of Yorkshire Wind Orchestra and the National Flute Orchestra. I run Sheffield Flute Choir and organise flute events/ workshops in Sheffield. I'm a part-time PhD student - my research uses linguistic analysis techniques to explore issues around adult music learners.
