From the moment we booked Weston String Quartet and exchanged emails the communication between Sandra and our selves was amazing, Sandra found all the songs we wanted and gave us our final music list in order of play and duration. On our wedding day they turned up early and found the perfect spot to set up and most of our guests commented on how beautifully they came dressed for our occasion. They played all our songs to our guests who are still talking about them now and one guest we know of upto now recorded them as she sang along. 5* for everything you was absolutely out of this world, would definitely book again but for longer than the hour we had, and would highly recommend to everyone for any occasions. 👏👏👏👏👏Thank you so much for making our wedding even more special to us 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I cannot be thankful enough with this quartet. They enlivened our private event with a wide variety of music from baroque to pop covers. Also, they were extremely professional when discussing the details of the performance. I would hire again for sure!

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

We usually work as a string quartet. We can always form a trio or a duet from there, and we are also very active in our local musical community, and can get almost any additional instrument or singer if requested! We can also put together an orchestra for bigger events.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

As long as you let us know with enough anticipation, we'll do our best to make it work. Similarly, if we have another booking on the same day as yours, we'll let you know so we are all aware in case emergencies pop up. Worst case scenario, we can work out a solution like filling up any schedule changes by calling in some of our colleagues.

How much time do you need to set up?

As an acoustic quartet, we can get to playing as fast as in 15 minutes from arrival to the venue if chairs and space are readily available. We always plan our arrival at least one hour before the event.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes! We normally include this option at no additional cost. We have an extensive library of classical, pop, rock, and movie soundtrack pieces - more than 10,000 titles. The list here is just representative, since it would be pointless to list all of that. It is much simpler to tell us what you want.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, we do. We normally play acoustically. If for any reason the event requires amplification, we are happy to work out what we need to take ourselves to use the venue's systems.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

We have our own library, and also know the right people to get pretty much any music you might want. No extra cost for this. We also have a resident music arranger, so if for any reason there is no sheet music for the song you want, we can get it done! In this case, we need at least three weeks' notice to sort it out, and an extra £32.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

People tend to like our friendly approach to our service. We are very much in love with our music, and play as much for fun than as a job.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We play regularly at Firth Hall in Sheffield, as the four of us are part of the Sheffield University Symphony Orchestra, and the Sheffield University Chamber Orchestra. We also perform with the Sheffield Festival Orchestra at St. John's Church Ranmoor. We also play with the Sheffield Chamber Orchestra and the Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The Latinamerican String Quartet, and the Guarnieri Quartet.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Recently, we played for the Sheffield Broadway Orchestra as part of a research project on lost numbers of notable musicals, which was featured on the BBC. Our members have also appeared in the feature film "A la Mala" (Pantelion Films), and music videos for Golden Music Publishing.
