Trudgeon's Trad Jazz Troubadours

Started by Joseph Trudgeon as a cross generational project, Trudgeon's Trad Jazz Troubadours philosophy is based around bringing young and old jazz musicians and their audience together whilst preserving the musical traditions of 1920s and 30s. Regularly seen around the country they can be found delighting the young and old at pubs, clubs, weddings, private parties with their authentic brand of traditional jazz. They have also been known to play national jazz festivals, fairs, street parties, markets, fetes, wakes, funerals and birthday parties and pretty much any other kind of occasion where a band is suitable. Their line up includes a who's who of jazz musicians from the southwest and south east. Some members have been playing traditional jazz around the circuit for 40+ years and are still very much at the top of their games, others are from a younger generation than the original trad jazz revivalists but have an equal amount of love and care for this old music as their elders. Available as a 4, 5, 6 or 7 piece band their line up can include Trumpet, Trombone, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, double bass, drums, washboard and sometimes piano as well, Trudgeon's Trad Jazz Troubadours are a flexible ensemble that can craft the perfect band for your event. As well as playing standard static gigs at events on stages, they can also arrange a roaming marching New Orleans style brass band to play at your event/party. They have their own PA but can also play equally well acoustically as in an amplified setting.
