ABOUT US The Spectrum play accurate versions of popular songs that you and your guests will know and love with the instrumentation to give you that full live sound. The main lineup is a 4-piece band with Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Lead vocals & Backing vocals. Our extensive music library ranges from The Beatles to Sam Fender and everything in between, including Stevie Wonder, The Killers, Bruno Mars, Avicii, George Ezra, Blink 182, Feeder, and Oasis. We come complete with a full range PA and lighting and offer pre-mixed party music so you and your guest can relax and leave us to everything. The band have years of experience in the music industry and have appeared on TV and national radio stations performing by themselves and with international artists. We have a selection of songs that keep everyone happy on the dancefloor, with a professional sound that makes guests feel they're hearing something more than just another function band. From oldies that everyone loves to the very latest pop songs, we know what works! We are adding songs all the time but the ones in our Songlist will give you the best idea of the mixture of tunes we play. Everything is live (no click tracks) because James on keyboards adds in all the necessary song lines whilst singing! Please read our reviews for our clients' opinions and testimonials. OUR DJ SERVICE For every evening booking, we provide our complimentary Pre-mixed DJ package, which includes mixed music which is played before, between and after our live sets if required. This means you won’t have to hire anyone else for your evening entertainment. If you want a DJ to take requests then you can upgrade to our Imperial package that comes with a full DJ service. We come complete with a high-quality sound and lighting setup to ensure a top-quality show for you and your guests. Music is really important to both Anna and I and for our party we wanted a band that we could rely on to play great tunes and keep the party going all evening. Co-incidentally we had both seen the Spectrum play at different weddings 5 years apart and loved them, so they were the obvious choice for us and we weren’t disappointed. We danced the night away and many of our guests commented on how great they were. It’s not just about the night either. They worked with us in the lead up to make sure it was successful event, including giving up time to talk to us about song choices, set lists and more, and dealing with last min changes to timings. They are the nicest people and super talented musicians, so if you need a band for a party or wedding or any kind of event, don’t think about it, just book them. They are just awesome.

From the first dance to the lady dance Spectrum were amazing They went out of their way to play the music we liked and even learnt our first dance song as they had not played it before ! They got us all up and dancing throughout the evening and made our day so very special Highly recommended !

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our performances are always a mix of songs that everyone will know. Our guests also love the interaction we have when we perform.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

In The Spectrum we all have an eclectic mix of Rock, Jazz, Pop and everything in between which comes through in our knowledge of playing different styles.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We regularly play for our armed forces. They demand the best, and come back to us time after time.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band, our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our lineup is as follows: 4-piece band with Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Lead vocals & Backing vocals

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we provide pre-mixed song playlists through our PA system meaning you have a constant flow of music. These are suitable for whichever type of event we are playing. Our Imperial package offers a full DJ service if this is a feature that you would like for your event.

How much time do you need to set up?

It takes us around one hour to set up and sound check. This time may increase if our access isn't that easy as sometimes we have to take stairs or lifts to get to our performance space. We would usually find this out before the event day and make you aware if it is going to take longer than an hour.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

If there is a song that you just have to have during our sets that isn't in our song list then please ask us, again we will do our best to play it. You can make a list of all your favourite tunes from our songlist and send them to us. We will then make a setlist based around your choices.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, we are completely self-contained so you don't need to worry about a thing. We use a top specification full range PA system with access to larger systems for events over 600 people. We also provide full lighting rig for the band. We require at least 4 independent 13 amp sockets. We have PLI and are PAT-compliant.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Playing a couple's first dance live is a really cool thing and so long as it's suitable we love to play it! If we don't already play it we will rehearse it and let you know if it works or not.
