Born in 2014, we’ve been playing soulful grooves and cookin’ covers across the UK ever since. The Rumour Mill is a professional five piece band featuring some of Manchester’s most talented musicians playing pop, soul, rock & even ska favourites as required. We’re happy to tailor our set list to your event & can provide continuation/ dance music on iPod plus some mood lighting for your special event! Please note: Due to session and touring work of band members, our line up is picked from a regular pool of high quality professional musicians. Members featured in publicity may sometimes differ to the members who perform at your event.

Would justlike to say a big thank you to"The Rumour Mill" band for my 60th. A big thank you to the The Rumour Mill band who provided some absolutely brilliant live music.. They were absolutely first class and had the dance floor bouncing. Everybody from the 100 plus people at the party commented on how great they were. They had both old and young dancing the night away to their rich 70s and 80s music. A great sound from this 5 piece band with a fantastic lead singer who kept the dance floor totally engaged. They were totally flexible with the timing of the sessions to enable buffet times and the odd speech etc and also gave a list of covers for me to choose for the night. They kept in contact with me all the time as the big day approached to ensure no last minute hickups. Totally professional and would definetly have them again 10 out of 10 for me.

The Rumer Mill are an absolutely first class group and I would highly recommend them for any function or occasion. All the group are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I would like to say a massive thanks for making the evening.

We can't thank The Rumour Mill enough. We booked them as our wedding band, and we are so happy we did. They smashed it!!! They were incredible and all of our guests had so much fun. The whole band are very talented and Janelle's voice is stunning, one of the best I have ever heard live. The song choices had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves, we had so many of our guests saying how brilliant they were. They also learned songs we requested such as our first dance, and again they smashed it. The Rumour Mill played a massive part in making our day so special, thank you so much!

We can't express our thanks for last night. The whole band were outstanding from start to finish. The organisation leading into the wedding was so easy and straightforward and we couldn't have been happier. So many of our guests mentioned how good you were and many said it was one of the best live gigs they had ever seen. Last night you really brought the feel good factor and completely made our night. The first dance was something we will never forget so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Lots of love Nathan
