The Matt Farrow Group is a powerful live blues-rock band bringing together the raw spirit of the blues, the energy of rock ’n’ roll and the excitement of a great guitar-driven live show. Led by guitarist and songwriter Matt Farrow, MFG performs a carefully chosen mixture of original material and well-known covers, drawing on classic British blues-rock, blues and rock ’n’ roll while giving the music its own identity. At the heart of the band is a simple philosophy: Great songs. Great guitar. A great live show. This isn't about recreating the past or being another nostalgia act. MFG takes the music that inspired us and brings it to the stage with our own sound, energy and attitude. THE LIVE SHOW The Matt Farrow Group provides a complete evening of live blues and rock ’n’ roll, designed particularly for intimate and medium-sized live music venues of approximately 50–200 capacity. Our standard show consists of: • 2 × 60-minute sets • A mixture of original MFG material and carefully selected covers • Blues, blues-rock and rock ’n’ roll • Guitar-led, energetic live performance • Professional in-ear monitoring system • Individual line outputs available for the venue's FOH engineer • Our own complete front-of-house PA system available when required • MFG promotion of every booked show • Support for the venue's own social-media promotion where required

Do you have different line-up options?

We are a 3 piece band consisting of guitar/vocals, bass and drums.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

“We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

“Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.”

How much time do you need to set up?

“We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, we are unable to offer this service.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

“Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event. ”

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

“Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 4 metres by 4 metres space to perform”

Can you learn song requests before the event?

“If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to discuss this with you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc. ”
