The Joel Kew Trio

Joel Kew is a guitarist from Cambridgeshire, living in Leeds. Currently studying Jazz Guitar at Leeds Conservatoire, he plays in a large variety of styles, from the Old American Songbook to Funk, Neo-Soul and Pop. In his trio he is accompanied by Swiss/South African drummer Cameron Byrom and bassist David Bullock. The trio is made up of three very versatile musicians who are guaranteed to set the mood just right at every event. They have a large repertoire of tunes to call on, and are willing to take requests in advance. Despite being musicians at the start of their career, these three have played at some prestigious venues across the UK including Bedford Esquires, Pizza Express Jazz Club, and The Wardrobe, Leeds. They are also booked to play at Matt and Phreds Jazz Club, Manchester as part of a different project. We are able to provide our own backline and equipment, so we are able to add ambience to any part of your event, whether that is a drinks reception or on your main stage. We perform regularly with other jazz musicians on the Leeds scene, and so we are able to add up to two guest performers to make either a quartet or quintet based on your needs!
