Nik & Emily met through music, and have worked together professionally for years. In Summer 2025 they formed Sun Shuffle with the aim of getting some fabulous gigs, and playing some music that’s close to their hearts. We love Carole King, Jazz Standards, Contemporary Chart music covered in a creative way. We’re a truly versatile duo who can take your requests and make them sound magical. Nikki has a MA in Music, Grade 8 Piano and Grade 8 Vocals. Nikki has played piano in wedding ceremonies, at drinks receptions. Nikki has vast gigging experience in function bands and originals bands. Emily gigs regularly with her originals band. Emily has performed in choirs, recorded vocals in studios for various projects and releases. Emily was the lead vocalist in her jazz band until she moved up north to Manchester, about 2 years ago. We’re approachable, friendly and reliable, happy to negotiate prices and make your event as special as possible! Our act is flexible in the sense that we can be background music or take centre stage, depending on your requirements. We’re ideal for smaller venues and independent cafes/bars/restaurants.

Had so much fun watching Sunshuffle duo. Two talented ladies with great chemistry. They had a great variety of songs with a jazzy twist and gorgeous vocals. Will definitely be making the trip out to see them again!

Amazing duo! Absolutely loved seeing Emily and Nikki performing at the Brew & Bee on Friday 29th. Their first gig I’ve been to and can’t wait to see them again - both musicians and very talented and complement each other. They played two sets full of classic jazz and pop covers. I’m loving Sun Shuffle!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We have a lovely flowing style, where you can listen in or just let it float around you in the background, our music features piano solos and vocal improvisation. We do creative covers, and exciting arrangements of songs.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Nikki has performed in Manchester International Festival, multiple venues around Manchester from pubs and clubs to bars and wedding venues.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Amy Winehouse, Carole King, Natalie Cole, Claire Teal, Halle Loren, Kirstin Chenoweth.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

When Nikki worked as a musical director she performed to an audience of 500 people. Emily recently performed at Clitheroe Food Festival, which was jam packed with festival goers!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, Emily is our only vocalist.

Do you have different line-up options?

We know plenty of musicians and can add in Sax/bass/drums etc.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

For weddings we will accommodate any reasonable changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes through our PA

How much time do you need to set up?

1 hour

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We’re happy to consult with you about the setlist and tweak it to your taste.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes we bring our own PA if it's required. We don't currently bring lighting to events.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

For weddings and special occasions yes.
