Sophie trained as a musical theatre performer at The Urdang Academy in Covent Garden. She soon went on to work as a top actor-musician in West End shows as well as no 1 UK Tours and around the world. Sophie has performed in shows such as 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', 'The Rocky Horror Show', 'Our House the Musical', 'Dreamboats and Petticoats', 'Threepenny Opera', 'Sweet Charity', and 'Jerry's Girls.' As a Piano/Vocalist, Sophie regularly plays at top London hotels and piano bars. Sophie also MD's and fronts her own band 'The Daisy Chains' - an all girl 6 piece rock 'n' roll band. As a Saxophonist, Sophie plays with various function bands as well as her solo vocal/sax gigs. She also plays with top DJ's with her Sax and DJ sets. Sophie's pit work includes; 'Carousel' - Arcola Theatre (Flute, Clarinet and Piccolo), 'Jerry's Girls' - Jermyn Street Theatre (Flute, Alto Sax, Clarinet, Piano and Ukulele) and 'Jekyll and Hyde' - Union Theatre (Alto Sax, Soprano Sax, Flute and Piccolo). Sophie also played flute with 'The Wilderness Orchestra' - a 38 piece film orchestra for The Wilderness Festival.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My Grandad Ken Mackintosh who was a famous Alto Saxophonist and Big Band Leader in the 50's/60's.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Either for Sadiq Khan at the O2 or for the female cast of Eastenders on the River Thames.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

As soon as I am set up I can play music through my speaker and I am happy to play music between my sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

I need around 1/2 an hour for a Saxophone performance to set up my PA and equipment. For Piano Vocal a little longer at around 45mins.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

The set list on here is only a small idea of what I can play. I have endless tracks I can play to and I'd be happy to talk through what you'd like for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I provide all my own equipment. My PA is a high quality fully PAT tested digital system and I have a wireless saxophone microphone if needed. I can also play a cappella (without accompaniment).

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely!
