Sophie is a highly experienced professional saxophonist and multi instrumentalist based in Surrey, performing at weddings, parties, corporate events, prestigious venues and celebrations across the UK and internationally. With an impressive career spanning live music, musical theatre and entertainment, Sophie has performed at some of London’s most prestigious venues, including The Ritz, The Dorchester, Claridge’s and the renowned PizzaExpress Jazz Club Soho. She has also performed for a remarkable range of clients and audiences, including the Mayor of London, the Archbishop of Canterbury, The O2 and the cast of EastEnders. Sophie performs as a solo saxophonist, with professional function bands and alongside DJs, making her an ideal choice for everything from drinks receptions and sophisticated background music to weddings, parties and packed dancefloors. Her Ibiza-style sax sets are particularly popular, combining live saxophone with DJ tracks and well-known dancefloor favourites to create an exciting, high-energy atmosphere. She has performed with the all-female saxophone supergroup Saxation, The Red Stripe Band and The 80s Show, as well as her own award-winning six-piece all-female rock ’n’ roll band, The Daisy Chains. She is also a regular saxophonist for weddings, private parties and corporate events, with the experience and versatility to read a crowd and adapt her performance to suit the occasion. Alongside saxophone, Sophie is an accomplished pianist, vocalist and Musical Director. She regularly performs piano and vocals at top London hotels, piano bars and private events, and is the Musical Director and frontwoman of The Daisy Chains. Her broad musical background means she can offer clients a truly versatile live music experience, from elegant piano and vocals to energetic saxophone and full-band performances. Sophie trained at The Urdang Academy in Covent Garden and went on to build an extensive career as an actor-musician, performing in West End productions, No.1 UK tours and internationally. Her theatre credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Rocky Horror Show, Our House the Musical, Dreamboats and Petticoats, The Threepenny Opera, Sweet Charity and Jerry’s Girls. Her professional musicianship also extends to pit and orchestral work, with credits including Carousel at the Arcola Theatre, Jerry’s Girls at Jermyn Street Theatre and Jekyll and Hyde at the Union Theatre. She has also performed flute with The Wilderness Orchestra, a 38-piece film orchestra at Wilderness Festival.
