Soldier are a professional covers band that bring some great rock, soul and indie classics to the stage, with a tight and energetic set guaranteed to have guests dancing. A well established and experienced act, with over 10 years of experience on stage, having played with and supported acts like Athlete, From the Jam, and more, as well as being a go-to-act for armed forces events, large public and charity events around the Midlands, as well as being regulars on the wedding and party scene. Our set will typically include classics ranging from the Beatles and Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Van Morrison, Clash and The Jam, Chuck Berry and Stevie Wonder, right through to Kings of Leon, Killers, and Strokes. We deliver our sets with bags of energy, tailoring our song list to keep dance floors moving.

By far one of the best bands we've booked. Everything from initial contact to the event they have been outstanding. Communication spot and their performances where amazing. Friendly group of lads who engaged well with the crowd and everyone at the event. Thanks again guys.

These guys played my wedding in 2016 (I'm the bride in the Gallery page). These guys take their craft VERY seriously. They are professional, polished and above all, very talented. Before life as a covers band, they toured the UK playing original songs, supporting bands such as Athlete, Mona and From The Jam. They absolutely made my wedding. They get the crowd going and I cannot recommend them highly enough."

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our musicianship and the energy in our performance. We're not a band that runs off for costume changes and glittery waist coats, we don't twirl through dance sequences on stage either. What we can guarantee though is that we are excellent at our craft, we play very well as an outfit, we are very tight, and we love what we do.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

O2 Arena (B'ham, Liverpool), The Cavern (Liverpool), Centenary Square (B'ham), Lightwoods Park (Sandwell), Armed Forces (Uk Wide), Wedding & event venues such as Hogarths (Solihull) Grittleton House (Cotswolds), Grafton Manor (Bromsgrove), Cadburys (B'ham), Villa Park (B'ham), amongst others.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love rock & roll, northern soul, mowtown, and also classic 80''s and 90's, and 00's. Big favourites are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, as well as the likes of Kings of Leon, Killers, Bruce Springsteen, The Jam. Quite a wide variety really.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We headlined the main stage at The Cavern in Liverpool which was absolutely amazing. We also headlined the Lightwoods festival which again was an absolute brilliant experience. Previously to being a covers band, we were an originals act and supported The Jam (50th anniversary tour), Athlete and Ocean Colour Scene amongst some other high profile acts.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes. The band have been together for many many years and will continue to play together for many years to come.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line has always been a 5 piece. We love the energy this set up brings to a stage.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

It's fine, we're flexible so whatever it takes to make it work

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes. Our set list is forever increasing so feel free to reach out to us for an 'up-to-date' list of you wish.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, the quote includes all equipment.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We can. If you want a song you don't see in our set list, it's possible we already know it. Please keep in mind the genres of music in our current set list.
