Sarah Hewson is an experienced vocalist having performed to a variety of audiences across the UK and Europe, performing in bars, restaurants, theatres, night-clubs, at wedding receptions, large corporate events, and outdoor festivals, to audiences of all sizes - anything from just 8, up to 10,000 people! Credits include performances as Frida for Bjorn Again, the world-famous ABBA tribute show; singing on live BBC TV for the 'Children in Need' charity appeal; and performances at the European club venues: 'Le Mad' club in Lausanne, Switzerland and 'Club Rai' in Moscow. Standard format is 45/50 mins of solo ABBA tribute (in costume and character) + 45/50mins of party classics. However, this can be altered to suit the occasion - please enquire. Also available: Abba + Queen dual tribute, Queen only and rock tribute also available, as well as disco classics from 70s/80s and general party hits from 60s-00s. I'm also a trained classic soprano singer so am available for church services such as funerals and weddings.

Excellent value for money and excellent performer

As Mayor of Whiston I have twice booked Sarah for various events. I find Sarah both professional and friendly, which is very hard to achieve in a packed room. Sarah was exceptional both times with the audience asking for "more please". Whiston thanks you Sarah, and you have definitely made my year go with a swing.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem at all - I am always very flexible

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes - I have hundreds of songs from 50s to present day and can play them just before, between and shortly after my sets. However, if you want a whole evening of music tracks around my sets then this is an extra £55.

How much time do you need to set up?

30-45 mins to set up PA and lighting. After this I would normally require 30 mins to get changed and ready in my costume.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

If you have a couple of requests then this is fine.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes - full PA and lighting

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am happy to learn one or two songs before an event, if given sufficient notice, and if it suits my voice.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

People tell me that I am a 'proper entertainer' because I am confident at interacting with the audience as well as being a professional singer. People will often also comment on my choice of songs which get people dancing and that I do more than just sing the notes - but that I sing with expression.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

All sorts of venues including private houses (even in someone's kitchen!), social clubs, bars, hotels, restaurants, churches, town halls, outdoor festivals, ballrooms - even in an aircraft carrier! Most notable venues include: Grosvenor House, London Le Mad Club, Lausanne, Switzerland BBC Studios, Nottingham Club Rai, Moscow. ICC, Birmingham

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

ABBA, Queen, disco artists from 70s/80s, but many more. I have an eclectic taste in music.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

As a solo artist I sang at the Conservative Party Conference 2014 in the ICC, Birmingham. In other bands I sang live on BBC Children in Need as part of a 70s band, and with Bjorn Again in Moscow (as their Frida). With other ABBA tribute bands I've sang at Glastonbudget (worlds biggest tribute festival) and at Le Mad Club, David Guetta's club in Switzerland
