Monroe Acoustic Duo are a little bit different to other function acts. Vocalist Polly & guitarist Ian are both professional session musicians who regularly work right at the top end of the music industry. Ian has played guitar for top acts like Simon Webbe (Blue), Errol Brown, Roger Sanchez and Reuben Wilson & produces instrumental music for use in television and film. Polly writes and records vocals for electronic producers and has worked with artists from labels like Hospital Records, Defected Records, Spearhead, fourthreesix, Uprise Audio, Moda Black and lots more. Her most recent collaboration on an album with producer Seven reached no.1 in the Juno dubstep charts. The acoustic duo combines Ian’s beautiful and intricate, jazz-infused guitar style with Polly’s soulful and impressive vocals. The duo’s songlist spans the last six decades and includes a HUGE range of music to suit all occasions - whether you need the perfect, romantic classic for your Bridal Entrance, or an upbeat selection of dance and pop hits to keep your guests amused and entertained. Polly & Ian also have a pool of some of the UK’s most experienced session musicians to call upon to form both their acoustic and electric 4-piece bands. Their team have worked with Atomic Kitten, Girls Aloud, Ronan Keating, X Factor & The Voice finalists, and many, may more. The acoustic band gives a cool, live-lounge style option for early evening/afternoon entertainment, or for smaller venues or locations with noise limits.
