Marino Strings are a highly-trained and dynamic string quartet available for hire at weddings, parties and corporate events! The quartet mainly travel within Hampshire, Surrey and its neighbouring counties but may also be able to accommodate enquiries further afield – please message directly for a personalised quote. With prices starting from as little as just £160 for a soloist (90 minutes), we cater for all budget options and can be hired as a violin or cello solo (using a PA system), or as a string duo, string trio or full string quartet. We provide all our own instruments and music on the day and are also happy to dress according to your event specifications (we would usually wear all black.) Do you have different line-up options?

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

This is not a problem. We can adjust the booking (and fee) up to one week in advance of the booking according to your requirements for the day.

How much time do you need to set up?

45-60 minutes is the standard.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, you can select as many songs as you like!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

We own all of our instruments and also bring along our sheet music and music stands. (All we ask is that you lay out two/three/four chairs on the day as appropriate!)

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, definitely! (Please note, arranging or purchasing any musical requests for your event may incur nominal additional charges.)

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We are influenced by many of the major internationally-renowned string quartets and symphony orchestras of the classical world. We are all highly-trained and passionate classical players. We also have a passion for pop, rock, jazz, film and traditional repertoire.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

All of our events we have performed at so far have been weddings. Some smaller, some larger. But they are all very beautiful!
