Lucy is a freelance violinist who graduated in 2018 with a Master of Arts from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She previously attended the University of Birmingham, where she achieved a BMus (Hons) degree, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Junior department. Since graduating Lucy has worked as freelance musician. She is experienced at performing at events such as weddings, parties, funerals and conferences. She is always professional, enthusiastic and organised. Lucy has excellent communication skills and understands how important it is to be able to answer any questions or sort any details quickly and effectively. Lucy is very happy to work with you to make sure you have the music exactly as you want it at your event. Lucy is an experienced orchestral performer. Lucy is currently the principal 2nd violin of the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra. Other freelance orchestral projects include the Multi-Story Orchestra, Wilderness Orchestra and Bishops Stortford Sinfonia. During her training Lucy was fortunate to take part in projects alongside musicians from ensembles such as the CBSO, the Philharmonia and BBC Symphony and Concert Orchestras. As a soloist, Lucy has performed with the University of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Birmingham and Trinity Laban Chamber Orchestras, as well as giving many solo recitals. Lucy enjoys bringing her passion and enthusiasm to every event she is part of, and knows she can help make your event extra special!

Lucy played beautifully at our wedding and our guests loved the experience of hearing live music, her communication was excellent from the beginning and very much catered to any specific requests and every song she played fit perfectly. I'll definitely be recommending Lucy to others!!

Nothing but great things to say! Lucy was amazing at communicating right from the start. She was playing for our wedding ceremony and helped us pick our music choices, provided all the backing music, and also played a hymn for us which guests sang to. We had so many comments from our guests about how beautiful Lucy’s music was and it gave a wonderful atmosphere to our outdoor ceremony. Thanks so much!

Lucy was absolutely fantastic, she played at our wedding late December and was brilliant. Our guests had so much praise for her, and we couldn’t be any happier. All throughout the booking, Lucy was very responsive and fully professional. Her music was outstanding, and we have zero complaints. Cannot recommend Lucy enough, everything was perfect.

Do not hesitate to book Lucy! We asked for Lucy to attend our wedding for our drinks reception, and what a decision that was. She set the atmosphere off and our guests were all commenting on how brilliant she was! We asked Lucy to play songs that guests would recognise, no other instruction, and wow did she deliver. The communication before the wedding was great too. If we have another event in the future we will definitely be booking again!

Lucy is amazing! Lucy played at our wedding. We booked Lucy to play while our guests arrived, during the ceremony and at our pre reception drinks hour (while photos were taken.) Lucy was absolutely brilliant and everyone was blown away by her talent and beautiful music. The music pieces were a mixture of classical and pop. We received so many compliments after the wedding about how extremely talented Lucy is. The sound of the violin music was very emotional and just the perfect choice. Lucy is very organised. After you have booked Lucy, she then puts everything together for you. Lucy is prompt and very professional, plus Extremely talented. Lucy plays beautifully and has so many songs in her repertoire. Lucy was extremely patient with us when we were trying to decide on what to play during the ceremony and had several suggestions that fit right in line with what we envisioned. Lucy was an absolute joy to work with and is so helpful. Lucy actually made our day very special and brought many tears to the guests eyes!! Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Functions at venues such as Kensington Palace, Aston Villa Football Stadium, Easton Lodge Dunmow, Fennes Braintree, Mulberry House Ongar, Rivervale Barn Yateley, Langton House Romford. Concerts at venues such as Wigmore Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham, Barbican Centre, St John's Smith Square.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always aim to be as flexible as possible. Just let me know as soon as you can and I will do my best to accommodate.

How much time do you need to set up?

I will arrive about an hour before the start time to set up and warm up. I always make sure I have plenty of time to set up without rushing.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, of course! I want to play the music you love so please let me know what you would/would not like to hear. If you are unsure I can send you suggestions and offer advice based on what atmosphere you want to create, or what genres you like.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes absolutely, I will provide everything.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am really happy to learn new pieces and add to my song list, so just let me know if you have any requests.
