DJs Lorraine Ashdown & Janice Vee

Lorraine Ashdown and Janice Vee bring energy, skill and vibrancy to any event they play at. They have worked together for many years, first meeting when they presented the drivetime show on Kiss FM. These days you can find them on Mi-Soul radio, a DAB station that reaches over 250,000 people each week predominantly in London. Their passion for dance music has led them to play at clubs like Ministry of Sound, The Astoria, The Cross, The Jazz Café, Dingwalls & Rouge. They were the support act at Wembley Arena for the Spice Girls and have introduced live artists like Moloko, Lynden David Hall and Gus Gus on stage. They have warmed up for DJ legends Masters at Work, Gilles Peterson and Marshall Jefferson, as well as playing at clubs in Ibiza for MTV Rocks and Manumission. Lorraine has completed two DJ tours of Brazil taking in Rio, Sao Paulo and Brasilia. These days the girls have a monthly residency at Boisdale Canary Wharf and regularly introduce the live bands playing there like Odyssey, Loose Ends, Roland Gift and Boney M. Lorraine and Janice never fail to disappoint, playing club classics, rare grooves, boogie, RnB, hip hop, pop and soulful and commercial dance. They are the perfect musical hostesses, bringing an infectious effervescent energy, that really connects with a crowd. They’ve recently played for The Arts Club Mayfair, Blue Marlin Ibiza, Funky Dory Mini Fest, Brighton Beach All Dayer, The Ned, Soho House, Ronnie Scotts, The Southport Weekender, Margate Soul Festival, The Modern Woman Show, 40 Something Disco, Martinez private members club as well at many weddings, private parties, birthday parties and corporate events. They play back-to-back, so one can host the room whilst the other is on the decks. Their USP is that they are personalities as well as accomplished DJs, so their events are always memorable.
