Leon String Quartet is a professional ensemble based in Kent and has performed at hundreds of weddings, functions and concerts across the UK. The quartet also regularly engage in session work for film and TV and has featured on several bands' albums. With over 14 hours of amazing repertoire to choose from, the Leon Quartet provide a fresh and modern take on a classic ensemble, with sets crafted to suit your personal taste. Since much of the music is expertly arranged by the players themselves, you won't be able to find the same variety or quality anywhere else! Do you have different line-up options?

As well as a quartet, we offer a string trio, and a violin and cello duo option.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're a flexible group and are very happy to accommodate changes in timings – we only ask that you let us know in advance.

How much time do you need to set up?

We require 30 minutes set up time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely! We love it when clients create their perfect set, as we understand that each event is completely unique! We are also happy to provide guidance about choosing music wherever needed.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, we only need 4 chairs without arms in a space approx. 8x8 feet, which your venue should be able to provide us with.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes - Just let us know what you would like, and we will see what we can do.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We've performed at hundreds of events, and the number one comment from guests/clients is how versatile our set is. We like to keep things fresh and are constantly on the lookout for new music to add to our list. Because we have such a wide repertoire, we can switch from Bach to Coldplay and everything in between.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We were lucky to be coached by Martin Outram, violist of the Maggini Quartet, and we learnt so much about the finer workings of playing as an ensemble. We love playing quartets by Russian composers, and also breathing new life into the ensemble with contemporary, pop and folk numbers!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Playing to a packed Canterbury Cathedral nave always gets our pulses racing – the acoustic in there is incredible!
