About Karen

Pianist
Rochester
Public liability insurance
Classically trained, Karen works in diverse musical genres both in the UK and abroad. She was a resident pianist at the Ritz Hotel in London

An accomplished, versatile piano/vocalist, with an ever expanding repertoire covering all styles, Karen performs in 5 star venues at home and abroad. Classically trained, she has a flawless piano technique which is equally at home playing jazz standards, show tunes and chart hits. Add mellow vocals and a wicked sense of humour and you have the perfect music for your event. Her skills as an accompanist are as relevant for open mic and 'impromptu guest participation' as they are for opera and classical recitals. As a teacher Karen inspires students to achieve their best, with several professional musicians among her former students.

It was a great pleasure to have Karen playing at our event. She was easy to contact and answered emails immediately. Her musical ability is fantastic and she has a wide repertoire of the music of the 30/40s. All the guests were extremely complimentary. I would not hesitate to recommend her. (10 / 10) Jackie Bean

We were recommended to use Karen by the organiser of the wedding ceremony & were very happy to do so. We wanted to have a happy, relaxed, gently upbeat wedding & the music was an important part of creating that atmosphere. Karen was helpful from the start & we felt confident in her as a person and as a musician. Karen told me she could sing & play anything..a wide range of music and although we didn't test this out, she was obviously an experienced musician and we felt in good hands. She sang several songs that we had chosen plus a few more in keeping with what we wanted. Our guests loved joining in on at least one song..It's Amore! Her persona also reflected what we wanted and we would have no hesitation in recommending her for a similar event. (10 / 10) John & Elizabeth Burton
