What do your clients love most about your performances?
I've been told that sometimes people are surprised the performance is live and not a recording.
I'm often complimented on the mix of different styles I perform, meaning I often have people of all ages dancing.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Robert Palmer for the huge variety of music he love and performed, from gutteral rock, soul and blues, to electronic music, funk, calypso and big band.
Tony Bennett - his effortless and timelessly cool grasp of the American Songbook plus the way he can switch from tender, fragile phrases to sustained and powerful ones is still amazing.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
Just let me know - slight changes in timings can easily be accommodated and we can change the details and price if you plans change hugely. Always happy to be flexible!
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Background music before and between performance sets are included as standard if you do not have your own DJ.
If you wish to add extra for either an automated Disco playlist (£75 for 2 hours) or a full DJ & lighting service for the whole evening starting from £175 for 4-5 hours.
How much time do you need to set up?
This depends on venue access and size of set up booked but we usually aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before the performance begins. For larger show with multiple lighting/staging upgrades this can take up to 90minutes.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
We will always consult with you on the kind of music & performance style you would prefer. Specific songs requests are available within higher budget events or can be added as optional Add Ons for lower budget events.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Absolutely, yes! We will supply professional PA (sound system), music and music playout (including backups), microphones and even compact stage lighting as standard, all to suit the size of performance space and number of guests.
The only addition is for audience over 250, where additional sound reinforcement may need to be hired in as an Add-On service.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Subject to the song being in my range and available as a quality backing track, new songs can certainly be learnt and included in performances. This is included in the fee for higher budget events, or can be added from £50 for lower budget bookings.
