I noticed that cover artists always seem to end up singing the same songs as each other, so I made it my mission to come up with fun ways to introduce popular songs you wouldn't normally hear from a guy in the corner with an acoustic. I play hits from the 50's all the way up to present day but I specialise in music from the 90's and 00's, because that's the stuff I grew up singing with my friends. My signature style of soulful, energetic folk has made audiences dance and sing along all over London and the South East, and this kind of energy is something I pride myself on bringing to every style of music and every room I play. It's not only about the mad energy though; I love playing the the softer, more sensitive tunes for weddings and lower key occasions and really enjoy becoming the jukebox in the corner when needed! If you have any questions or would like me to play something you don't see in my repertoire, please give me a shout. I just love music and I want to help make the night special.

I booked Joe for a birthday party. The music was an excellent choice for my guests and he got everyone up and dancing. His vocal performance was amazing and was really helpful in the lead up to the party. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Joe!

I've seen Joe Acres perform at several shows in London and he is without a doubt, one of the most exciting acts I've ever been lucky to see! I booked Joe for a party last year and he was phenomenal! He knew exactly how to get the party going and made the celebrations all the more special. The guy is a fantastic singer and incredibly humble too! If you've not been fortunate enough to see him live or booked him for an event, then I'd shake a tail feather as this guy will be playing bigger and more expensive venues very soon. He gives much more than your average singer, he's charming and has a very cheeky side too.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like me to play songs from an iPod through my PA after the final set until the venue closes, I can also provide this for an additional £75. We can discuss this in our consultation so you can give me an idea what songs you would like on the playlist.

How much time do you need to set up?

I can usually be set up and ready to play within 10 minutes of arriving. However, I prefer to arrive at least 30 minutes before I start and can arrive earlier if needed.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I appreciate this is your event and I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for you.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Absolutely! All I need is a plug socket.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

This is something I do most often for things like weddings or birthday parties. If your song isn't on my repertoire list, we can discuss this in your consultation and, as long as I have around two weeks notice, I can arrange this for you.
