Jacob

I have been playing the Violin since the age of six, and since then have always enjoyed the thrill of playing music in just about any setting. I have extensive orchestral and chamber music experience, including leading the Oxford University Philharmonia, my own String Quartet and, more recently, performances of major Baroque works such as Bach's St John's Passion. As a soloist, I frequently organise concerts and perform crowd-pleasing repertoire, such as Massenet's Meditation from Thais and Monti's Czardas. A recent concert which I organised for the the DEC Appeal for Ukraine raised over £1000 in donations. My primary focus has been in Classical Music. I have recently studied with Violinist Jan Schmolck at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, gaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Violin performance in 2025. I have also recently developed my experience as a Baroque Violinist with a particular interest in the historical performance of early music. Alongside my performing activities, I have built a substantial career in education as a History Teacher and Tutor with my business 'History Intelligence'.
