Ex-principal of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain,Iona has performed internationally as a soloist and with orchestras

Iona grew up as principal harpist of the Bromley Youth Symphony Orchestra where she won the Norman Trotman soloist prize 2016-17. Iona soon after played for two years with the NYOGB, performing live on the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall as principal. Having studied at London`s renowned BRIT School for Performing Arts, Iona has a diverse understanding of all genres of study, including jazz and popular music. Iona has a huge passion for musical theatre as has played in two West End production runs of the LMTO`s `A Christmas Carol` at the Lyceum and `Ragtime The Musical` at London`s Bridewell. Iona also played during the 2019 season as resident harpist at the Royal Horseguards Hotel. More recently, Iona recorded for the BBC Scottish Lockdown recording of 'The Swan'.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

It's great to chat about details with my complimentary Zoom meeting as part of the booking. If the event runs late, we will arrange suitable terms which can be invoiced following the event. I will always give 15 minutes for late running, but will always finish at the allocated time unless agreed prior otherwise.

How much time do you need to set up?

I like to be early! One hour minimum!

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

yes, porterage is included which involves the movement and transportation of the equipment.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

I don't play outdoors unless sheltered from natural forces.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely, and you can also make your own choices as I arrange music bespoke to your needs.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Absolutely, I like to ask for a minimum of two months as I always do a job at 110%
