Embers Duo

Embers consists of husband and wife duo Susan and Jay. We are both highly accomplished performers having experience of everything from musical theatre to functions bands. Combined, we have performed at over 500 private events, a large number of which have been weddings. Embers pride themselves on exceptional vocal harmonies, interesting arrangements and variety to suit all. We play everything from 70's pop to Modern Country and are always happy to learn requests for weddings. Unlike the majority of acoustic duos, we alternate the lead vocals between us and on almost every track there will be beautiful vocal harmony. We are both trained vocalists and believe this approach really does set us apart and enable us to provide you with lots of variety. Our equipment is always up to date and of a professional standard. Jay is also a qualified sound engineer and we have multiple set ups for more complicated events that require it and our gear includes high end Shure digital radio microphones, Yamaha DXR, QSC and Presonus PA systems, Taylor and Takamine guitars and a wide variety of lighting suitable for dressing the stage and also the dancefloor. We also carry a professional DJ booth with a choice of colour themes should we also be providing your disco. Embers can be a duo, trio or full function band. We are very flexible with our services as we understand that every event is different and most events are dynamic (A nice way of saying they never run to time!) so on the day we come prepared for everything, outdoors, indoors, rain or shine, no problem! Our videos tend to be self recorded and truly live, as we are not fans of the over produced promo videos where bands have mimed to a prerecorded and altered studio recording of themselves, we want you to know what we REALLY sound like! Our most booked package is to provide music for your guests to enjoy during reception drinks, while photos are being taken, or during the wedding breakfast. We are also regularly booked to perform during the ceremony itself, or for the evening reception with our full band and disco equipment. We will consider destination weddings, as we love them (Who doesn't?!). Providing they fit with our other commitments we are happy to give a very competitive quote for these, often less than you'd think!
