Dj Lee has been a DJ for 27 years, beginning in Majorca in 98 and performing to 2,000 people a night as the resident DJ for Belaview, Alcudia until 2004.
During this time, I DJed at family fun pubs in the day, introducing acts and running a karaoke. At night, I performed to a main audience at the Belaview Resort, playing between acts, getting the crowd involved and excited. Here I became experienced in DJing to theme nights, such as: Reggae Nights, Motown Nights, Rock and Roll Parties and 70s and 80s Nights.
Since 2004, I have been DJing for public and private venues and working with the Stone Gate Group, providing music at their venues and clubs. I have performed all over South of England and London, DJing in Soho, London for 2012 Pride, performing in renowned gay bars such as: G.A.Y Late, Royal Vauxal and KU Bar and was the Compare for Drag Queens and Exotic Dancers. Currently, I am hosting a local Radio Show, 92.2 FM, which won a Gold Reward in 2024.
Planning is key to creating an unforgettable night, where the music has you and your guest up and dancing and making memories you can carry forever. It is important to be hands on leading up to the date of the performance. I like to work with my clients to ensure the playlist is just perfect for them and their guest and this provides me with the opportunity to understand what my client does not like. We all have those songs or genres we don’t like so it’s good to know that when building a play list for an event or occasion. Karaoke is also something I provide, if this is something someone would like.
The music I love to cover is from 60’s pop to 00’s RnB and everything in-between. One of the most important skills is to read a room and understand which direction we need to go with the vibe to provide the experience the customer wants. This is a skill I have refined and is needed with the pacing of the performance, for example knowing when it’s time to move away from one style of music and onto another to ensure everyone is on the dance floor and enjoying themselves. DJing is understanding what people want and knowing how to create that atmosphere for them, which is why having the time with clients before the set date is incredibly important to me. Knowing my clients chosen genre will ensure that all the music you hear will be something that you like.
I’m the DJ you book for a good old fashion party. An entertainer at heart who specialises in old school music and anthems, your classic 70s floor fillers , Rock n Roll, Disco and Pop.
I no longer cover Grime music , Drum and Bass, Dubstep, or Jungle.
