If you want a piece of Scottish dancing and singing at your function, whether it be accordion, bagpipes, piano or guitar, give me a shout!

David began playing the piano at the age of 7 and then learned to play the accordion in the school Scottish Country Dance Band - The Forth Bridges Dance Band - when at school in South Queensferry. In addition to playing for ceilidhs in both Scotland and England over the past 30 years, David also plays the bagpipes and the guitar and has performed for many Burns Suppers/Scottish events, with sing-along community singing at the heart of these functions. David also plays accordion in the Irish band Shenanigan and is also comfortable playing pop songs if required to give variety to any function.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Not a problem!! We will adapt to what you want.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Again not a problem. We have bass bins that come with our PA and give the sound excellent depth for any ipad playlists you may want to play. You choose what songs you want to dance to once we are finished:) comes straight on after our last dance/song.

How much time do you need to set up?

15-20 mins if on my own

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course you can. And you can let me know of any requests you may have. I also provide songsheets for guests to sing from if they are not sure of the words! (if singing is part of the event:)

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes and can play acoustically moving around the room. The accordion is good for that as is the bagpipes!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes not a problem! If it's too difficult, I'll soon let you know! But not normally the case:)

Could not have been happier with David and the band. The ceilidh was fantastic. Every guest really enjoyed the night, and the Scottish guests said it was the best ceilidh they had been to!

David was amazing, he filled a sombre occasion with joy, and helped us to give a fitting, respectful and loving send off to our father in law. By the end of the afternoon, he felt like a part of the family and we will be forever grateful.

David was fantastic. He got all the students dancing, was very clear in his instructions and we danced the night away until past midnight. He made Hogmanay an unforgettable evening and we’re so grateful for his involvement!

Morning David - hope journey back was ok last night . Wanted to say a massive thank you for yesterday I think you were just great and it really made the event and I’m very glad I booked you . You were both brill. Would you like me to add a rave review on your website ? You were very upbeat and accommodating and very easy to communicate with ( basically I’m very happy ! ) and you can add boney M to your repertoire! ( though you’ll probably never be asked for it again!) Adele, Sutton

And a really big thank you - the night would not be anywhere near as successful without you - in fact if you were unavailable we would not do it - Conor
