I play the button accordion, bozoucki and sing Irish folk, and traditional Irish music. I played as a duo starting out years ago. This was back in the year 1998. I was still at college at the time. We called the band shogue. In that time I played with Martin Fury. Fimbar fureys son for a night. That was a highlight. I also did 2 tours in the Isle of Mann with Alan Burke from afterhours. I then joined a band called celtish which consisted of 5 of us. We played a lot of gigs around England, Belgium, Holland. We toured with Lunasa, Lan de cubell, Andy Irvine and other bands of that category. This was around 2003. After that I made my way to gran canaria and was involved with a three piece group entertaining in a pub. From there, I moved to Armagh and set up a group called Dánta. This was my self and Terry Conlon Jr. We went to Alaska on a cruise ship called the Grand Princess which I set up through premier entertainment in cork. We did that tour for 4 months. I had an incident on the ship of breaking my finger. I was out of action for a few months. Terry had gone on to do another cruise in the meantime so when I was back in action I made a group called the Trad folk experience. This involves a medley of guitar/singers who I interchange with regularly and we play the London and English circuit since 2016. As a regular occurrence for the last couple of years we meet up with the band and family Clannad every new year and Easter for their celebrations in Leo's tavern in Donegal. We will always play a regular spot in Leo's This year we also played with the band clann mac ruairi. Another brilliant band from Donegal.

Danny was INCREDIBLE!! He always messaged back in a timely manner, on the date he arrived ahead of time, taking any worries away on the day. His sets were more than we could have dreamed of. He was absolutely brilliant. We had an Irish crowd at a wedding after party. It was authentic Irish entertainment in the UK and everyone loved it. Danny has a truly brilliant voice, he is a quality musician, and a truly lovely guy. Should we have another event I would absolutely rebook him in a heart beat. For anyone wanting to provide Irish entertainment. Look bo further than Danny he was fantastic.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try to get there on time and everything to run smoothly if things change there shouldn't be too much problem. Just let us know and we'll try and accommodate you as far as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide a plug in phone service that the client can use to put on their own music, or use ours in the interval. If clients wish to use this service after the gig and until the venue closes we can provide this for an additional 100 pounds

How much time do you need to set up?

We need an hour to set up at least in most cases.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

We bring everything we need.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes sometimes that is a possibility, to learn certain pieces. I charge 30 pounds per piece to learn a piece to take into account rehearsal times, if it's not on my set list
