Chris is a saxophonist with extensive experience performing at weddings and other events. Chris is a versatile player, performing in various styles (including pop, jazz, Ibiza and Christmas). Whether you want music to walk down the aisle to, music to provide atmosphere to your event, or music to get people dancing, Chris will work with you to create the perfect soundtrack for your event. Although he is new to Encore, Chris has extensive function experience and has also played at prestigious events such as the Wimbledon Championships and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, as well as being a regular with The Ibiza Orchestra. Chris can provide a lower cost alternative to a sax & DJ duo, as a solo artist, providing sax accompaniment to his specially curated sax party playlist. He provides his own sound and lighting equipment. Chris has played to audiences in Europe, Africa, Australia and North America, as a touring musician and a resident “Club Med Artiste” at 5* resorts.

Chris is extremely talented, exceptionally professional, and creates a relaxed, buzzy atmosphere for our customers at our cocktail evenings. Chris is always well prepared with all the equipment he needs plus a plan for the sets but equally remains flexible to read the room and adapt to the ebb and flow of the shop’s vibe. Always a pleasure to work with!

I'll provide the music for the whole day! A typical package includes: - Background music for guests arriving (playlist) - Ceremony music: bride's entrance, signing of register, exit (sax) - Reception (2 x 45 minutes sax) - Background music for dinner playlist (playlist) - Wedding party - solo sax & DJ (2 x 45 minutes sax) - All sound and lighting equipment

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My professionalism, friendly demeaner, and my understanding of how to tailor my performance to meet the specific requirements of my clients and the venue.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My favourite sax players are Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy), Joshua Redman and Charlie Parker.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

1 Big Summer in Plymouth with Ibiza Orchestra Experience, with an audience of 12,000. Also played with Tom Grennan at Car Fest.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

II always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I can, and can either play your own playlist or use one of my own curated party playlists. For an additional cost I can also provide my speakers for after my sets to keep the party going!

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best for each event. I will however share my full potential set list with you in advance, so you can let me know which songs you definitely do (or don't!) want.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I have all the equipment I need. I will just need a power supply at the venue.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes absolutely. There might be a charge involved depending on the style and complexity of the song, but this can all be discussed and agreed in advance.
