A smart and sophisticated instrumental band, formed and based in London. Specialised in Latin genres with a unique original sound. Chanela is a dynamic group able to deliver both relaxed background atmospheres and lively dance-inviting sets. The line-up can be extended from 3 to 5 piece. Chanela’s Repertoire includes modern Latin American and Spanish classics, as well as Tango and some Jazz standards with a Latin twist.

We had Chanela trio playing for our artists gathering party at my house in London and they were really great. They made the experience easy and hassle-free for us, as we’ve never hired a band before and delivered a very arty set which everyone enjoyed and commented on. Will definitely have them again for future events and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a classy band.

I booked Chanela Trio for an Elegant Christmas party last year. The evening could not have been more pleasant. They are perfect for background, but also when mingling and dinner is done can grab the attention of guests who know how to Tango! Highly Recommended.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The unique and niche character of the band/music as well as our friendly attitude.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

As a new band we don't have a big history, but we've performed at very prestigious venues all over the world with previous and other current projects.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Miles Davis, Django Reinhardt.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Queens Theatre, NYC

Do you have different line-up options?

We can add a singer and other soloists such as violin, trumpet or sax.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We'll do our best to accommodate sensible changes to the agreed times.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Definitely, we can provide music to set ad keep the mood before and in between sets for a small extra fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

Depending on the line-up and venue's characteristics we'd need 30 minutes to an hour to get everything ready and do a sound check.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We're happy to discuss the set list to meet the client's needs and taste. Absolutely.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We can provide sound for small events at no extra cost, however, PA and lighting would need to be provided by the venue in case of bigger events. We can arrange this for an extra fee.
