I guess if you're here reading this you may want to know a bit more about me? I am a Singer-Songwriter and session musician from East Kent, with almost 13 years experience playing in bands and as a solo performer. My own original music has also been featured in national press & radio. My music taste is very eclectic which makes for an interesting setlist, and I find I usually have songs to fit most tastes! My setlist includes songs from the likes of: Johnny Cash, Oasis, The Kinks, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, The Kooks, Green Day, Paolo Nutini, Lewis Watson, Eric Clapton, George Ezra and more! I'm also in an acoustic duo, very similar to my solo sets, which could be an option if my partner is available!

We booked Big Steve for our village Christmas party as we knew he was up seeing family so enquired about him playing for us. We'd only gone by what his Family had told us, but he surpassed our expectations. He has a lovely voice and a great choice of songs, we will certainly look at booking him again in the future.

Steve got in touch after another singer (who was unable to play at my garden party) passed on my details. I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never seen or heard Big Steve before and I'm not on facebook, but I trusted what he had to say over the phone, his acoustic mix of songs seemed perfect for the afternoon. Steve turned up with plenty of time, with his own system and got setting up, everybody was very complimentary and we loved the range of songs, he was also very willing to try and accommodate some of our requests, despite not ever playing the songs before. We got Steve back twice more over the summer along with his friend Jake in their acoustic duo, and same again, beautiful voice, very professional and helped make a great family gathering even better.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Usually I am pretty flexible, there has been times where I've had two booking in the same day, so as long as I am informed of any changes, I will try to make things work.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

My PA has bluetooth connectivity so I am able to run a playlist in between sets, or before / after if required. I can also stay and play music for a period after my performance, if negotiated. I have Spotify premium and a big party playlist saved should I not have internet access for on the spot requests.

How much time do you need to set up?

I can usually setup within 30minutes, depending on access, as I have a compact tower PA system. I like to take an hour before play-time to get everything setup and soundchecked, but once PA is plugged in - if required I can start a playlist if there is no in-house music.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

If you have a request, feel free to ask me, sometimes I may not know the song well enough, but I'll always try and think of a compromise. If It's already on my setlist though, feel free to ask and I may just bump it up the playing order.
