I booked Alex for my partner’s 40th birthday and he was fab. He arrived on time, was very polite and professional, and most importantly, was a fantastic DJ. He accommodated our music tastes making sure to play music we’d requested but also took requests from guests on the evening. He was quick to set up and tidy away. I thought he was great and would defiantly use him again / recommend him to others. Thanks Alex, you made the party ☺️

Alex was a great addition to my husbands 50th birthday party. Communication before the event was great, Alex asked us for an idea of what we wanted and put together a playlist. The music went down really well with our guests and he filled the dancefloor. I would definitely recommend Alex and would definitely hire him again.

Communication prior to the event was excellent. DJ was late arriving to the venue. Music followed our play list with no real variation. Limited communication on the night.

Hi Andy, thanks for the review. I enjoyed playing for you and your guests. I would like to point out that I was not late to your event, I started on time, and I also played an extra 45 minutes for free. Your daughter, whose 18th birthday party the event was celebrating, provided an excellent and long list of songs she wanted to hear and I was also asked to repeat some songs by your guests. On the night I called you to check your address, spoke to you before I set up and before I stopped playing, spoke to your daughter to say happy birthday and had a short conversation with your wife, who gave me a tip and said how much everyone had enjoyed the night. I otherwise left you and your guests to dance while I performed for you. Hope you enjoyed the evening, Alex.

Great DJ - music for me was spot on and exactly what I asked for. We weren't an easy crowd to please because of the age range of our party and he was getting requests from the floor but he did his best to accommodate switching genres whilst still sticking to what we agreed. Would definitely book him again.

Alex discussed with me from the beginning what I wanted and planned extensively to make sure everything was perfect on the night. The music was completely suited to the brief, and after the event I was informed that it was the most well attended end of year show that year, not only with a massive increase in footfall from previous years but also due to guests staying for the atmosphere created by the music. I highly recommend Alex as a DJ for your event.

Here at Jack Rabbit’s Knutsford we utilise bands and DJ’s on a weekly basis. Alex has now become our go-to DJ having delivered several bespoke DJ sessions for my clients; sometimes with a vocalist, sometimes solo. Nights are customised towards the event – for example 80’s influence or club classics.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients love how easy I make it for them, and that as soon as you book me I have everything in hand. I play exclusively to your requirements, bringing together all my experience to make your event exactly what you want. I make you and your guests the centre of your party.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Too many to mention. Off the top of my head, Jeff Mills, BB King, Soul II Soul (Jazzy B, Nelly Hooper), Underworld, Legowelt (Danny Wolfers), Joey Beltram, Frank De Wulf, The Beatmasters, The Fine Young Cannibals, The Blow Monkeys, Tracy Chapman.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Capacity-wise, I've performed at many 1,000+ venues alongside international pop and dance acts (e.g. The Vengaboys, S Club, 5ive, Judge Jules, Sonique). However, I would say the most high profile gig I've performed at would be either last New Years Eve at The Trafalgar St James or the private mini-festival I played for Hendrick's Gin in Scotland.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'm pretty flexible in most cases with regards to timings. Let me know as soon as possible and I'll try and accommodate you.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This is not always relevant for me, but if necessary I can put on a playlist before I start.

How much time do you need to set up?

This is dependent on circumstances, but usually between 1 - 2 hours.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely, requests in advance are encouraged! I'm there to entertain you and your guests, the more you tell me about what you like the better I'll be able to achieve that.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. I have a full PA up to around 200 people, plus lights.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I'm more than happy to play requests at the event, the earlier I receive the request the more likely I can find and download it to bring along.
