Ryan Granger is an experienced piano-vocalist and bandleader, praised for his rich tone and engaging rapport with audiences. Beginning his career aboard P&O Arvia, he led four vibrant nightly sets that celebrate the Great American Songbook, as well as performing modern arrangements of pop and rock classics. Whether playing to a packed lounge or as relaxing background music, Ryan excels in his relationship with clients and audience members alike. His vocals have been likened to a combination of Nat King Cole, James Arthur, and Jamie Cullum. Ryan’s songwriting is deeply influenced by the raw honesty of Amy Winehouse, the classic storytelling of Carole King, and the modern jazz-pop stylings of Laufey. He has performed as a backup singer and regular jammer with the University of Surrey Big Band, working with excellent jazz instrumentalists and vocalists. A graduate of the Guildford School of Acting’s renowned Actor-Musician course, Ryan also trained with the National Youth Music Theatre and was part of the 2023 Elite Musical Theatre Squad at Jodie Steele Associates.

My warm rapport, rich tone and smooth feel.

Cadogan Hall, Bellairs Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, 710 Lounge (P&O Arvia and Iona), Phoenix Arts Club.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Amy Winehouse, Jamie Cullum, Carole King.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

For two years in a row, I was a bass in the choir of West End Does Christmas (2023 and 2024).

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Please communicate as soon as possible to discuss any necessary rescheduling. If timings change less than 30 days before the event, this may incur a rebooking charge of 12.5%, or if unavailable, this may result in the loss of your non-refundable deposit.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Ryan is not able to offer a DJ service at this time.

How much time do you need to set up?

Ideally between 1 and 1.5 hours.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, certainly - as long as the piano is in working condition, in tune and has appropriate acoustics to suit the venue with singing.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Requests are welcome prior to the event. Clients are welcome to reach out to discuss the feel of the event to tailor the setlist.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes - Ryan brings his own Yamaha CP-88 (stage keyboard).

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Clients are welcome to reach out and ask if there are particular songs not currently listed in my repertoire. If there is a new song you would like me to learn, I am happy to do this at a base fee of £25.
