Arthur was really easy and professional to liaise with and was really happy to trying out our clients requests. The couple were really really happy with Arthur saying they have been getting numerous compliments from the rest of the guests about how good his playing was - thank you again Arthur! They were really good. Everyone enjoyed themselves and said what good musicians they were (and how good the caller was too). It was a very special occasion, and they made our ceilidh/barn dance even more special.

Sophie was amazing and we would recommend her for any wedding, Sophie was quick to get back to us to answer questions before the day which was really helpful. Sophie sung songs of our choice during the ceremony even though they weren't on her set list- she has the most amazing voice, so beautiful and perfect for during our ceremony!

We really enjoyed the band. They brought a happy energy to the evening and made everyone feel able to join in with the ceilidh. The band leader (not Miles), arrived in good time and was clear about the last minute change of musicians. He and the band did a great job. Our only niggle is over some of the dances. They were not all ‘main stream Scottish ceilidh’; American Barn dance & Flying Scotsman? Also the shortened version of the Strip the willow was a bit disappointing. We understand that the band had to manage a mixed and full crowd and space was limited. We really appreciated the band doing an accompaniment to a song at the end and the final piping for the cake. Overall 5 stars for fun, great energy, clear dance calling and going with the flow of the evening. Thanks Katherine and George

The Playlisters were amazing at our Birthday Garden Party on 21st May. They could not have been better for our special occasion, and we had so many complimentary comments from our guests about them. No hesitation in booking them again if and when we have another event in the future.

We arrived at our reception venue at 2pm to find out that the drummer has called in sick, still don't understand why we were not informed as soon as they knew about this. The DJ in between sets was non existent. The band started 2 hours late, in the meantime our families had to entertain the guests and play music off YouTube as the band were not bothered enough to provide anything anyone could dance to, the same thing happened in between sets. We have contributed to the bands fuel costs, paid for their food, drinks and accommodation and were left very disappointed. In the end after much argument the guests did have some fun, but that was more driven by the family interacting with the guests than the band itself. The sets themselves were not great and the band themselves did not know the length of the sets. Despite having a back room for a the commendations, the band took it upon themselves to go onto the stage in their jeans and old tops. The band made it very clear they did not want to be there and wanted to get out as soon as possible. Overall the experience was okay at best.

A real pleasure from start to finish. Bruce was so quick to respond to our wedding request, and we were able to organise a trio for the beginning of the reception with the full 9 piece (including the incredible Shout Sisters) playing us into the evening. It really helped tie the whole event together, and so many of our guests have told us how much they enjoyed the music and the atmosphere it provided. Us millennials had our knees well and truly up, my parents were (quite literally) swinging each other around the room, and even my 88 year old grandfather in law was dancing the entire final set. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again - thanks so much all. We had an absolute blast!

Jonathan is an incredibly talented musician and a brilliant performer at our wedding. He able to accommodate our song requests for the ceremony and played a mix of Bollywood and Western music for the reception which everyone loved. Communication was great, would highly recommend.
