As a pianist, I have performed on the Royal Yacht Britannia, for Forth Radio and in front of Princess Diana with evergreen classics from Billy Joel, Elton John, Scottish folk songs and music from the Disney films and other theme tunes like the theme from the US comedy "Taxi", "Forrest Gump", etc. A wide and varied repertoire to suit most people most of the time. I can bring my own PA system and supply a wireless microphone for speeches. I can perform solo piano or with a custom made backing accompaniment which I have created to sound like a trio of piano, bass and drums. Price example for Fife: £160 for up to 2 hours performing including my PA equipment. Wedding in Fingask Castle, Rait, Perth The smiles in our photos says it all ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are so glad we decided to have a Ceilidh caller at our wedding reception. We’re from the U.S. and got married at Fingask Castle in Perthshire with about 20 guests. Honestly, we were worried no one would dance, but Richard made it fun and easy for everyone to join in — even my husband, who never dances! Richard was patient with us Americans who didn’t know the dances, and he explained and demonstrated everything in a way that made us feel comfortable. We ended up laughing, dancing, and having the best time. Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I wouldn't say that I have been influenced by any artist in particular though the 80s is my favourite decade in music.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

During my Royal Marines Band career, I have had band arrangements performed at The Mountbatten Festival of Music at The Royal Albert Hall and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Working for myself I have performed on the Royal Yacht Britannia (on the same piano Noel Coward performed on before the upgraded their piano).

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. Plug in your device for free. If you require me to download requests or choose tracks to fill a dance floor, then the cost will vary depending on length of time.

How much time do you need to set up?

30-mins ideally. If the room is empty then I can sound check without disturbing anyone.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it! (Ask the venue when it was last tune. Every 6 months ideally).

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes you may pick tunes from my repertoire.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes I can bring my own keyboard and PA system.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. I often include this service for free for wedding ceremonies depending on difficulty of request
