Magdalena Helen is a Leeds/Edinburgh based musician with a BMus (Hons) degree from The University of Edinburgh and a Computer Music MA from the University of Leeds. She is a composer, violinist, singer, computer musician, clarinettist, and pianist, with interests in composition, computer music and creative programming, acoustics, and mathematics. Magdalena has performed internationally (singing in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod); she has performed for various music festivals (Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Eisteddfod), radio and TV shows (various BBC radio and TV, Real radio), musical theatre productions (performances at the Alhambra theatre), and performs with professional ensembles (currently with the Edinburgh Contemporary Music Ensemble (ECME) and LSTwo).

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

As long as there's enough notice, I should be able to make it at a different time. If I've booked another event for the same day though, I may not be able to make it, in which case I would advise you looking for another artist. Open communication is key!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Of course!

How much time do you need to set up?

I need about 30 minutes to setup with my PA. I will usually arrive 30 - 60 minutes before an event.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Happy for requests, as long as there's enough notice before your event.
