Divyarup Latin Band is a London-based Latin, MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), Samba, and Funk ensemble fronted by São Paulo-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist Divyarup. Key Information Founder & Lead Artist: Divyarup (Vocals, Guitar, Songwriting) Education & Background: Studied at the Universidade Livre de Música Tom Jobim in São Paulo (1997) before specializing in guitar and harmony in London under guitarist Manu Pontes. Core Lineup & Collaborators: Features guitarist/composer Manu Pontes alongside a full rhythm and horn section. Repertoire: A mix of custom-arranged Brazilian classics spanning 50 years (including works by Tom Jobim and João Bosco) alongside original compositions by Divyarup and Manu Pontes.
