They were exactly what we needed. Just the 3 of them, providing the basic tunes, a bit of calling the dances and then we were off as most of us knew the dances and just needed a wee reminder. They played 2 good sets and everyone was up and dancing.

Their music was an absolute highlight of our wedding in Edinburgh last year. Not only were they responsive and helpful throughout the booking process, they had a great song selection, the band were enthusiastic and the caller was able to make things easy and accessible for the uninitiated English folk in attendance! If you need a bunch of really talented musicians to liven up your event and get people on their feet, you won't go wrong with these guys.

Can you perform covers?

We do an optional arrangement of a first dance which could be anything!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is fiddle, drum, guitar and bass which offers the perfect sound for the type of traditional ceilidh we offer- we don’t tend to alter that simply because it works so well!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We will be as flexible as we can be as we know that these things happen but as busy musicians in our own right that can sometimes be challenging! We do have dep players for each instrument who know the sets and can jump in if needs be also.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can indeed! Just let us know what kind of vibe you’re looking for and specific songs to include and we can make a playlist to your specifications. If you would like to play music until the venue closes there is an extra charge of £100 pounds.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually takes around 30 minutes to fully set up and another 30 minutes to do a soundcheck.

Do you provide a caller?

Our fiddle player is an experienced and engaging caller, guaranteed to keep everyone right even if nobody in the room has danced a ceilidh in their life!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We tend to limit the song requests to the first dance but if the couple have specific tunes they would like to hear (Irish or Scottish) in any of the ceilidh sets we would do our best to accommodate that!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Yes.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes typically the first dance. We don’t take song requests on the night as we would rather rehearse and polish what we’re playing to keep it professional!
