Jigs, reels, songs and dances from Ireland, Scotland and occasionally across to America Cahootenany have performed at weddings, parties and events across the uk over the last decade . A full rhythm section with drums and bass working alongside fiddle, accordion, guitar and vocals gives the tunes a real punch and guarantees a full dance floor. The caller brings fun accessible dances with humour and musicality with the accent being on people of all ages and abilities joining in. As well as lots traditional ceilidh music we like to put in some songs with 3 part harmony or, by agreement with the host, throw in some American barndance or even a bit of Balkan. We'll talk with you about what you like and even sometimes take on requests for first dances or just a song you're fond of. We've played together for over a decade-and all have many years of experience of playing in bands from celtic to ska and swing to reggae- because we really enjoy it and love that feeling of dancers and band together in full flow.
