What do your clients love most about your performances?
This is a good question. I’ve never asked. They generally use words like “beautiful” and “perfect” and “we couldn’t have asked for more”. So whatever I’m doing seems to work…

Brixton Academy, Hotels, Restaurants, Chateaux in France, private parties, The Rock Garden, The Mean Fiddler, Exeter University

Keith Jarrett, Norah Jones, Elton John, Tony Banks, Ben Folds
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Playing the Fête de la Musique in Sarlat town centre on a stage just for us
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
No problem. When you book me, I am yours for the day, with up to three hours of playing time expected. Timings almost always drift during weddings. Even when planners are involved.
If the day changes, let me know as soon as possible and we will work something out.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
You can run a device through my amplifier easily. For the latest devices, you may have to provide a lead with a mini-jack connector for my amp.
How much time do you need to set up?
I can set up in about 20 minutes, but I prefer to arrive a couple of hours beforehand to settle in. It's important to be relaxed. (It also gives us some time to socialise before the event.)
If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?
I would love to. I will still bring my equipment in case the piano is out of tune, or in some way unplayable. Keys can stick (but I can sometimes fix that on the spot).
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
On the whole, yes. During a typical 2.5-hour event, I might play around 40 songs. I encourage you to tell me what songs you don't want to hear - no questions asked.
Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?
Not just any piano or keyboard, but the best available.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
I am happy to learn one new song at no extra charge, for bookings of two hours or more. For additional songs (time allowing), I ask £40 per song. Arrangements can take several hours or even days to perfect. I reserve the right to refuse to work on excessively complex classical arrangements, and country and western music. No offence.
