I have played and taught the Celtic Harp for over twenty years having studied Music to degree level. Not only do I play the piano, guitar and flute alongside ( not at the same time !) but I am a well known singer songwriter in my local area having played many high profile festivals and most recently at Poole Lighthouse. If you would like soothing vocals as well as background harp then do say ! I can always write you your own personalised love song that you can keep forever after your event ! Otherwise specify the style you prefer ( Classical, popular, celtic ?) and I can gear the set to suit you with a few of your favourite pieces in there. My pupils now play events so if you live outside my catchment area get in touch as they may be able to play for you. I also call ceilidhs and play with a band so I can organise a whole evening of entertainment for you if you so require... Looking forward to playing your special day for you ...I'm great with people and children and am always happy to let people have a go at the harp !

Wendy was amazing! She played the harp during our ceremony, and also volunteered to sing for us! Always available before our wedding day to arrange all the little details for her performance. We were so happy to have her with us and make the event even more special - also, everybody loved her performance! I wish her all the best in any future musical endeavours she will engage with!

Disappointing. lack of comms, arrived late, didn't set up correctly, and poor service. If you are on a tight budget don't waste your money. No one noticed her at my wedding. Disappointing

Hi there. I'm sorry you had this experience I had plenty of communication with the wedding planner who failed to tel me that I couldn't park at the venue and did not organise any prior help to carry my equipment to the house which was a huge walk. . In spite of this I was perfectly in time as the guests arrived. She did not make any available electric for me after the ceremony to play so I couldn't play through my pa. I was put in an echo filled room with people loudly talking which made it worse. She did not seem to know where I was supposed to play and that was not my decision. A harp for that drinks set up was not appropriate. I also felt disappointed and overlooked. Sorry but Ive never had a bad review .. I was amazed that there wasn't even a chair for me to sit on and I had to search for one myself. I did my best in the poor service from them.

I hired Wendy jane for my birthday celebrations. She sang as guests arrived and her calming voice with the harp created a very special atmosphere. She then played on both harp and piano whilst we ate and created the perfect backdrop for the evening All my guests commented on how special it was to have a harp and played so beautifully. She even got out her flute later on and accompanied the DJ whom she knew with his dance set. Completely improvised. A versatile and talented performer and a friendly and warm person. Highly recommend.
