Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
My clients often mention the atmosphere the music creates and how naturally it fits the occasion. I carefully tailor the repertoire and performance to each event, whether it’s elegant background music or a special moment that needs perfect timing. I love making each performance feel personal and memorable.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
I’ve performed at venues including Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Opéra de Dijon, Kulturpalast Dresden, Buxton Opera House, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Bristol Beacon, The Glasshouse in Gateshead, Shrewsbury Abbey and Chester Racecourse, as well as concert halls, theatres and event venues across the UK and Europe.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
My roots are in the classical violin tradition, with artists such as David Oistrakh, Jascha Heifetz and Itzhak Perlman among my influences. At the same time, I love bringing the violin into contemporary music and creating my own sound across pop, film music and modern arrangements.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
One of the highlights of my career was performing at the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as a member of the Orchestre National de France. Performing as part of such an extraordinary international event, watched by millions of people around the world, was an unforgettable experience.
Do you have different line-up options?
I usually perform solo, either acoustically or, most often, on electric violin with professional backing tracks. I can also perform as part of an acoustic string duo, trio or quartet. Ensemble options are available by prior arrangement and can be tailored to your event.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
No problem — timings can usually be adjusted. Please let me know as early as possible and, provided I don’t have another booking afterwards, I’ll do my best to accommodate the change. If you’d like to extend the performance time, this can also be arranged for an additional fee.
How much time do you need to set up?
I usually need around 20 minutes to set up, depending on the equipment required for your event. I prefer to arrive at least 30–45 minutes before the performance to familiarise myself with the venue, choose the best position, set up and sound-check, so everything is ready well before your guests need me.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
Absolutely! You’re very welcome to choose your favourites from my set list. My repertoire is constantly growing, so if there’s a particular song you’re looking for that isn’t listed yet, please ask — I may already have it even if the set list hasn’t been updated yet.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes, I bring all the equipment needed for my performance. For particularly large venues or events, additional PA equipment may occasionally be required. If so, I’ll discuss this with you in advance and agree any additional costs before booking, so there are no unexpected expenses.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Absolutely! Up to 2 special song requests can be prepared at no extra cost, provided I have enough notice before your event. Additional requests are also welcome. Where new arrangements, backing tracks or sheet music need to be prepared, an additional fee of approximately £20 per song may apply.
