Chantelle & Shane are taking no prisoners here- it's a full on high energy rock show that assaults the senses! - There's a song or two for everyone, a variety of rock/punk and pop (with a rock/metal twist) - NOT for the faint hearted.... From The Beatles to Paramore to Metallica! If you like music you can really ROCK your head too then we're the perfect act for your event. All our backing is completely custom made using real recorded bass guitar and EZ drummer, the music is completely re-written and unique to us. This duo are made up of: Shane (The Bearded Monster) Shane is a self taught guitar player, he's always had a keen interest since a very young age and when he turned 16 his Mum and Dad bought him his first ever proper electric guitar which was an Encore 'special' from Argos! When he knew in his heart that guitar was his instrument his parents endured two hours in Nottingham music shop waiting for him to make a decision on which guitar to buy. After losing a little bit of patience waiting for this decision to be made, his Mum passed him the red-wine-coloured Gibson Les Paul and said "TRY THIS!" the amp booth on the side for testing guitars just happened to be free, he plugged the guitar in, sold! He still uses that same guitar today for shows! Shane studied Music Practice at Lincoln College in 2007 and in 2008 came out with his level 3 Diploma with Distinctions in Musical Theatre Performance Shane has played in many Metal/Punk/Rock bands over the years playing either guitar/bass and drums, these include both original and cover bands. Shane is also an accomplished sound engineer, he has worked with many bands to either help them achieve a great live sound or recorded their work to make promotional music. He has even made good quality backing tracks using his own skills for solo artists. Shane is very versatile, he writes all the backing music himself, he learns the music by ear on both guitar, bass and drums. When adding a new song to the repertoire he learns the song on the guitar for our live performance then learns the bass and drum structure so he can then record them. The creativity doesn't end there he also has to think about different melodies to make the cover version different to the originals. Last but most definitely not least, Shane's outlook is highly professional, he takes great pride in his work from health and safety aspects, to music production and live performance. Shane's not a happy bunny if the cables aren't neat and tidy, black gorilla tape is his best friend! if you ever want to buy him anything then black gorilla tape and guitar strings always do the trick! - he's definitely not the sportscar or having the latest phone kinda guy. Infact he refuses to actually own a phone! 'How he plays guitar like that & performs with such a big smile on his face amazes me! He's an absolute MONSTER' - The Peacock Pub Peterborough 2022 Chantelle (The Pocket Rocket) Chantelle came into singing by accident, it wasn't something she'd ever planned to do and had no intentions of doing, she was more of a 'in the shower kinda singer' Under The Covers' original singer left to go to University and after a long difficult slog of searching for someone (and some gentle persuasion) Chantelle decided she'd give it a go and so it ALL began. All Chantelle could do at this point is PRACTICE, she attended many rehearsals, jam nights and even recorded some of her favourite songs to sing vocally. It was a case of exploring, researching and making firm goals. Under The Covers had gigs booked and time was not on Chantelle's side. After doing several gigs with a live band she took all the rough with the smooth and said 'she's going for it' and nothing was going to get in her way.......
