Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
They love hearing songs they know, but not as they know them! They also love the energy we generate without masses of volume.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We have played at the British Grand Prix, at events for Mercedes, the SAS and the NHS, as well as some of the most opulent wedding venues in the country.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Postmodern Jukebox provided the initial concept, but we have made it our own, creating arrangements in the styles of Jelly Roll Morton, Fletcher Henderson, Benny Moten and many others.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
The British Grand Prix
Do you have different line-up options?
Yes, we go from a two piece line up for chilled background or wedding ceremony, all the way up to 8 piece for the full party experience.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We will need to check with our band members whether they have other commitments- it may be possible to substitute other musicians if necessary.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
We can play our own playlist or one you provide through our speakers. We are not professional DJs, but are happy to stay on and play popular party hits for an extra £150.
How much time do you need to set up?
One hour is usually enough for the full band, less for our smaller lineups.
Can you roam around while you perform?
No, we rely on a piano which makes this impractical!
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Up to a point - our set list is honed through years of experience and arrangement, and we prefer not to substantially change it. But we are open to discuss any particular songs you want (or don't want!) to hear.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes, we've got all that!
Can you learn song requests before the event?
One song is free, after that we charge £50 per song.
