Tommy Gun Quintet specialise in sophisticated swing and jazz covers of classic hits (Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, The Kinks, Nirvana, Gnarls Barkley etc) We take inspiration from Post Modern Jutebox, and really know how to get the room up and dancing! We are experienced in playing various types of events including weddings, festivals, awards shows and functions including parties and Hogmanay.

Hi. Last night my wife and I went to the Scottish ballet to see a wonderful ballet choreographed by Gene Kelly. On leaving the Festival Theatre we went to look for somewhere for a drink. The sounds of your band drew us to the BBar and we spent the rest of the evening enjoying three great sets. Many thanks for adding good music to good dance and quite a lot of good drinks for a great first night in Edinburgh. Several across Edinburgh and Perth - Brewhemia, Voodoo Rooms, Whistle Binkies, B Bar, Dog House, Twa Tams and more. Festivals - Gin Festival, Scotsman Food and Drink Awards.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Scotsman Food and Drink Awards, invitation only event.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, the singer will remain the same. For the other musicians, we do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, we can play either a 4 piece or 5 piece.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We will always be as flexible as I can when it comes to timings, please don't hesitate to get in touch and let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! We will be happy to set up a playlist for before and between our own sets. If you'd like a DJ/ Spotify service to play through the PA speaker after our set finishes we would be happy to provide this at a small fee. Contact us to discuss the timings.

How much time do you need to set up?

1 hour - 1.5 hours

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely, we would like to be as flexible as possible. Please let us know if there's anything special you would like to add (or omit!), happy to chat through what would work for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, our PA and all equipment are included. We require power and space to perform only!

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Of course, we may know the song already so please let us know with as much time as possible before your event, we can discuss this in full over the phone also.
