Tom is an experienced professional harpist based in London, who is probably best known for his work with Florence & the Machine. His repertoire ranges from baroque and romantic through to show tunes and modern pop songs, and can cater for a wide range of tastes, moods and settings. He started learning the harp at the age of 6 and his teachers have included Hugh Webb and Sioned Williams (Principal Harpist of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra). Since obtaining a degree in Harp and Composition at Trinity College of Music, he has performed at events and functions in venues such as the Millennium Dome Exhibition, Café de Paris, Royal Academy Of Arts and The Globe Theatre. In 2008, Tom started working with Florence and the Machine, and performed on the UK number one albums “Lungs” and “Ceremonials”. His playing was featured prominently on singles including “Dog Days Are Over”, “You Got The Love” and “Spectrum (Say My Name). With the band he has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, Red Rocks, Hollywood Bowl and headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 2015. TV appearances have included Later With Jools Holland, Top Of The Pops, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, The Voice (in Germany) and X Factor (in the UK, US and Australia). As well as Florence, he has recorded or performed with artists including Lady Gaga, Elton John, New Model Army and Lou Rhodes (Lamb). As well as playing the harp, Tom is an experienced composer, specialising in harp and electronics and ha released several CDs under the name Lunamoth. He is also available for teaching and holds a valid DBS Certificate.
